Tink's Production Notes

In the last week, I had the wonderful opportunity to talk with 3 smart business women, Lyn Marshall of Amazing Stitches, Meredith Barnhill of M's Canvashouse, and Amy Jones of The Stitch Niche. The interviews were part of the upcoming excitement as Lexington, KY hosts the ANG 2003 National Seminar.

I loved to hear all about the exciting plans each shop is making for the MANY stitchers who will be descending on our fair state very shortly! *VBG* Since I will be at the Central Kentucky Chapter table during Expo night (available to sign Alphabet books, btw) I will get a chance to actually meet Lyn and Courtney from Amazing Stitches, in Louisville. Due to the fact that M's Canvashouse and The Stitche Niche are my LNSs, I went into those interviews already knowing Amy and Meredith, but Lyn was a complete unknown. I'm happy to say that for starting the phone call with a *Hi, I'm Tink...Pleased to meetcha* the interview was a lot of fun...including major bonding over the fact we both were up to our eyebrows painting canvas stock for the ANG Seminar that day! LOLOL

Meredith and I are very good friends but haven't seen a lot of each other in past months since I didn't get out much this summer...between 3 trade shows and sharing the van with Jeffrey....;-) It was fun catching up with her, before and after the taping. She was also in the process of organizing a move so SHE called me since we weren't sure about the phone hook-up situation. In spite of all the craziness, she was a dream interview!

Amy's shop is just a couple of doors away from my Printer, but Jeffrey has been picking up our printing lately (see reference to *sharing the van* above. LOL) The day I did pick up the printing, poor Amy and I communicated with a phone call  on her shop phone since she was out of the shop getting ready for.....drum roll please....the ANG Seminar! :-P  She and I talked during an evening stitching night at The Stitch Niche...it took two tries because the shop was soooo busy...something we ALWAYS like to hear!

I thought I would take the time to explain the circumstances of each phone call so those lucky enough to attend would get a taste of how excited the Shops Owners are about having the Seminar here, and how busily they have been preparing. *VBG*

On a more serious note, I am taking this opportunity to experiment with a change in format for the Radio Shows. In answer to your requests, the shows are now being presented in smaller segments. I hope you'll let me know whether you like this or not. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, as I finetune the *Following the Thread* presentations!
